Hey, I have wins xp pro and wins xp home installed on my HDD, how can I go about removing wins xp home? both os's are on same partition. I heard about doing this in msconfig or something

Any help would be great
Thanks

Hello, Are they using differnt folders? They almost have to be..like do you have XP PRO installed on say C:\WINDOWS and XP HOME installed on C:\XPHOME? If you did an upgrade and are simply getting the XP Home boot option you can edit the BOOT.INI file to correct this so it doesnt prompt which OS you want to load on boot.

Okay here's the history:

Home xp originally installed on PC --> Upgraded to Pro XP

Installed home XP on same partition for test reasons..

So the other home is just a clean install I did for test reasons

I had somebody do 3 OS's on the same partition once. you will have to delete and reformat.

Do you mean delete the whole partition? That means all my files and folders in the pro xp will be lost?
