2 dvd drives not working

My computer is a 2.4gh itÂ’s got 1 dvd player 512 ram. but I tried to plug in a additional dvdburner and when i went to boot my computer it doesnÂ’t recognize that my computer has any dvd drives. But when unplug the dvd player, the burner works just fine. But i really whant both drives to work. What is my computer doing? Anyone got any suggestions????

ok how do i do that?
even when i press delete on the start up it doenst reconise the drives

When you look on the back of the dvd drives, SEE PICTURE

you will see a jumper, There are usually 3 to 4 sets of pins. You can either take the jumper out with your finger nails or plier and make sure to pull them straight out, not side to side, you might bend them, make sure the jumper is set to the far left, which is the first set of pins, on the second drive, put the jumper on the second set of pins.
