Wiped Toshiba won't install ANY OS
I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4757
I had my laptop completely wiped and ready to install an operating system but I get the same error every time I try to boot up. I'm trying to put Ubuntu on it from my cd/dvd drive and have set BIOS to boot from the cd-rom. Since Ubuntu can be finicky, I tried putting Windows 7 on as well, or rather tried booting up with my Windows 7 OS disk and still received the same message. I'll write exactly what I read on my end when I try and boot up...
For Realtek RTL8100E/8101E Fast Ethernet Network Adapter v1.02 (060529)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM.
Invalid system disk
Replace the disk, and then press any key
(so then I'll press a key and receive the following information)
Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082)
Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation
(and then the whole error message begins again)
I have had this same computer wiped before and been able to install whatever OS I wanted without any trouble, this is the first time I have had this happen (or even seen this error). Between how old my laptop is and the fact that it's been wiped before, I know it's not a great computer or anything but I'm hoping it isn't completely toast, as I could really use it for a bit longer.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
