Will this work??

Hey guys,

I was thinking of using my laptop's screen as an output...Will this work? The idea is to avoid moving the main desktop's crt monitor to my room, by just making use of the laptops screen will i be able to hook the desktop to it??

I haven't heard of that. I only know of the laptop's display ports, as being outputs, not inputs.

Ok, so it is possible, but you sacrifice a laptop.

well i am sure you want to use more then just the lcd ? you want to use your desktop from the notebook. Use remote desktop, log into your desktop from your notebook. very easy , no installing any other os, you have mouse / kb control and see everything

But that lags, and isn't too good for gaming.
