Wich is better? i5 or i7?

this helped my decision as well... running I3....3.3ghz dual core....making the upgrade 2!!!! I7...3.5ghz (3.9ghz turbo boost) works for me

i5 and i7 are quad core processors,, not much difference only the speed and advanced technologies... i7's are more powerful than i5...

Just to clarify; all DESKTOP i5 cpu's are quads, but in LAPTOPS they use dual core i5's.
But i7 cpu's are quad all-around.

Well IMO unless you are either gaming, heavy programming, graphic design or music production then a i7 is a little over kill and since this is under the laptop section you must consider the battery time. For everything else a i5 or i3 has enough power to do what is needed.
