hey i have an really old compaq armada 15500mt that used to be my dads work laptop back in it's "glory days".he gave it to me to tinker around with, but the thing crashes a lot so i was wondering what i should do with it?can i take it apart and sell components?and if so how do i do it.

Use a program like boot nuke to wipe the hard drive clean, then either take it to a recycling center or give it to a charity.

Linux!

Or you can make it into a photo frame. I have an old Pentium 1 laptop that I really have no use for either, it's in my room somewhere at home, tried to take it apart but something was holding it together from the inside even though i took out the screws.

I would put linux on it...

Can't reccomend a distro without specs.

Though, a shot in the dark, I'd try Puppy Linux if you don't know much or **** Small Linux if you know something about linux. Both of those are extraordinary on older hardware.
