Weird problem, need help!

I am using a laptop, an acer. Anyhoo,
This laptop seems to have personal issues!

O.k.,
It works fine when the power cable is in.
However,
When the power cable is out, it works until you try go on the internet,
The address shows at the top as does a spinner (suggesting page is loading), however the page never manages to appear on screen. Just a white screen. BUT if you then stick power cable back in, it loads successfully in normal time without need to re-command.
The battery is fully charged.
All appears normal, apart from this issue

Can anyone, give me a clue what's going here?

if you doing this wireless, try it with wired ethernet and see what it does, you can also try re-seating the wireless card in it's slot
