My battery was showing that it only held 9% of it's initial capacity. I decided to do a full run-down and recharge because the battery help said it could recondition the battery. However, I'm letting it die and it went from 100% down to 5% quickly, but now it's been at 1% for close to an hour. What could be causing this, and is there any way to fix it? If I'd have known that my battery held this much power, I wouldn't have ordered a new one (which I already did). Can the battery's internal sensor fix this problem?

I thinking that it's just because the battery is old and can't hold much of a charge anymore.

Sensors will probably not fix it.

It eventually ran completely out and the computer shut off, but now the battery shows up as "ERROR" on the battery level gauge and the computer won't recharge it. Is there any way to fix this? I have a second battery that can't hold much of a charge either, but if I can get this one to not crash my computer it'd be good.
