Default Volume Managing Problem

I have a Hp Pavilion dv6308ca Notebook and it has these "Quick Buttons" along the top of the keyboard. (Eg: controlling volume, stop, mute, play..etc)

When I want to turn the volume up, all I have to do do is tap the "+" Quick button, but just one tap makes the volume go up tremendously (and vice versa for decreasing volume).
How can I adjust this so the volume doesn't increase so much every tap?

EDIT: Running Windows XP Pro. The volume icon on my system tray goes up only about 1/25 of the upper most setting every tap. (Therefore, my volume can go so high it will probably blow out my speakers..)

Some times you need to DL the drivers for the added functions on some keyboards to work as XP / Vista has support for the basic keyboard configurations only. Try the HP website for the drivers.

Also the sensitivity should be able to be controlled by the supporting utility that came with the laptop they just set it at a arbitery point of sensitivity that the manufacturer feels is right.
