Hi there everybody,

this will be my first post here on the forum so hello everybody i am Sven

I have a samsung r530 with core i3 370 and it is overheating all the time, even after playing a video for 2 minutes the laptop just shuts down, i opened the notebook,
removed all the paste with 99,96 rubbing alcohol from the cpu and heatsink, placed new paste on the cpu and put everything back together, the same thing happenes, and i am able to touch the heatsink because its just under the keyboard, it gets so hot it will most probably give you blisters if you would keep your finger on it for to long, i checked if it would be a windows related error by running it in ubuntu, same thig happenes, anybody some suggestions? or did i forget to mention something?

Thank in advance everybody

Yes the fan is fully functioning, it seems like the CPU is just getting way hotter than it supposed to be, that would mean more power usage, is this even possible?

Not really.

When you repasted, did you clean the dust from the exhaust outlets? Everytime I've cleaned a laptop, there's been a layer of dust coating the heat sink.
