*eyes snake91839* You better keep to talking about IBMs and not those blasphemous apples... *taps a knife on his belt* or else...

Everyone I know whose bought a thinkpad is very satisfied.

I'd rather not go with a Mac - don't really feel like learning a new OS.

So for Windows, would I be better off with Vista or XP? (I will do some light gaming as I mentioned - CS:S/BF2142/CoD2 & will probably use Photoshop quite a bit)

Who's the main manufacturer of thinkpads? I'm not really familiar with Lenovo - is it a division of IBM or something? I've had bad experiences with Dell so I'd rather not go with those. How are those laptops on cyberpowerpc & ibuypower? The specs look pretty nice. How does that ASUS turtile mentioned compared to the above? Any other brand suggestions?

What screen size is most popular or w/e? Just the regular 15.4"?

Thanks!

Lenevo bought IBM's notebook division. Its a Chinese company.

15.4 is a common size.

The other two companies you mentioned also use the Asus design I posted but charge more. They also use MSI, Compal and a few others.

Asus makes many of the Apple notebooks as well as some Sonys and Dells.
