Default Suggestions for new laptop

Hi guys, next week I am going to buy a new laptop for gaming and school.

I would just like your suggestions. I was looking at these two:

Newegg.com - ASUS M51 Series M51Sn-B1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T5550(1.83GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 3GB Memory DDR2 667 250GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS - Laptops / Notebooks

Newegg.com - Acer Aspire AS5920-6574 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T8100(2.10GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 3GB Memory DDR2 667 250GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT - Laptops / Notebooks

Which one do you think is the better buy?

If there are any others you think I should consider, please let me know. My price range is around $1,000, no more than $1,050.

Thanks!

Personaly i like the Acer. But you do know these thigns have tax and delivery right.

Since they are both the same thing, just about, why not take the Asus. The only thing i see different is hte PCU. A T5550 compared to a T8100. So i fyou fancy the extra 0.27GHz go for the Acer.

Asus is one of the best builds in the game right now. Acer...not so much. It's not even a contest for me--Asus hands down.
