Default Segate Momentus XT in Dell M1530

I own a Dell M1530 and I am entertaining the possibility of replacing my 320/5400RPM HD with the hybrid SSD/HDD Momentus XT 500GB. Only thing is I haven't been able to confirm that it will fit in my M1530. Can anyone prove this?

Thanks in advance

You linked to a page on the Dell website that shows what the M1530 was configured with 2 years ago, not if would fit. Sorry but you did not answer my question.

That is your model, and what the MAX is for that said model. I do not know how long it has been in service. That IS your laptop, as far as I know. If you think differently, send a link.

I think that what odysseus is saying is that the specs given on the Dell website are what Dell will configure it with, not a technical limitation.

It probably does work and you stand to loose nothing by giving it a try (except a bit of money and you'd still have the drive).
