School/ gaming laptop?

i am graduating this week and my mom wants to buy me a laptop that i can use for college, however i am leaving home....and don't want to have to stop playing my games...i play mainly World of Warcraft and Portal 2 right now...(lets leave the thread about the computer and not the games) i need to find a laptop that can run both games but is affordable. preferably under 1k any ideas?

Well yeah, I meant your not going to need a beefy book for AutoCAD or anything.

I'm tired right now. I'll pick this up in the morning ;)

All right. If you can afford a little more than 1K, this would be awesome: Newegg.com - ASUS N53 Series N53SV-A1 NoteBook Intel Core i7 2630QM(2.00GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1333 750GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M

Has a good graphic card, 750GB HDD, 4GB DR3, Intel i7 2630QM (based on sandybridge)

Personally I'd take the Dell XPS 15 over the Asus N53 since the prices are so close

The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

They have the same cpu and while the Dell has a slightly slower gpu it has 2gb more ram, a Blu-ray drive, and a vastly superior screen.
