Default rugged laptop shell

i have been searching and have gotten nowhere. i want to find a rugged laptop shell. waterproof, shock resistant, drop resistant, you know. where can i find one? alls i find is carrying cases and pre made laptops. i just want a case i can put my laptop parts in. thanks for the help.

Laptop parts are very case specific. Your parts can only fit in your case (to some degree), which means a rugged shell would need to be made specifically for your laptop. I have not heard of any manufacturers doing anything like this, but it may be a good idea.

Panasonic Toughbooks come to mind, but those are whole laptops and are very, very pricey.

There's more to being rugged than a shell or case. The hard drive, for one, is very sensitive to impact. Rugged laptops usually have impact-resistant parts that stretch well beyond the physical casing.
