Reformated Hp dv9000

Hello forum i recently completly reformated an hp dv9000 to factory settings which wiped everything off the hard drive and reinstalled vista on this machine. I went through the whole process and eventually got to the desktop. Before i restored this computer i had a monitor connected to this laptop and used it as an extended monitor but now the video card has changed to standard VGA and the video quality on this laptop is not as great as it was before i restored it and i cannot hook up my 2nd monitor.

What can i do to fix this?
Any tips or help regarding the issue will be greatly appreciated,

Look on the bottom of the laptop and get the whole Model# dv9000 is the series. Once you do search HP for drivers and download and install the latest drivers for your machine.
