Recently dropped laptop (Lenovo T500) shuts down during COD:Modern Warfare 2

Herro,

Long and short of it, the clumsy dad that I have dropped my laptop and once we got it finally working again I could not play games on it as it will decide to turn itself off in like 5 seconds. Strange, as it work pukka prior to it being dropped. Any help would be super!!

Dropping a laptop would not cause you to not play games. Most likely you dislodged the CPU and/or GPU heattsink.

What temperatures are you getting? Get a HWMonitor and show us a screenshot.

Thanks for the reply, and apologies for the late reply am new to this site, blah blah blah.

I dunno how to add my screen shot, but I have got some figures, from that Hardware Monitor programme that you suggested;

LENOVO 2081CTO (What ever the **** that is!!)

THM0 Max - 61 C (141 F)
THM1 Max - 62 C (143 F)

Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo

Core #0 Max - 57 C (134 F)
Core #1 Max - 51 C (123 F).

I got these figures directly after playing a game for like 30 sec, so to get some figures before it cuts out. Too hot?
