Hi. My problem is my Toshiba laptop doesn't want to charge, even when I plug the charger into the laptop. From what I can tell, it's a Toshiba Satellite C655D laptop. The covers for the hinges have broken, so when the laptop is opened, the left cover bends upward, but doesn't break. The right one isn't too damaged, but it's damaged enough to have put the laptop off-kilter. Just today, I attempted to plug my charger in, but it refused to charge at all. The computer still works. What should I do?

Well it's either the AC adapter or the charge port.

If you have a multimeter, you can test the voltage output from the AC adapter while it's plugged in to make sure it's outputting the correct voltage.

While the AC adapter is plugged in the laptop, does it wiggle around? If so, it may be busted. Did a quick search, and looks like you can get a replacement for fairly cheap: http://www.amazon.com/Eathtek-Toshiba-SATELLITE-C650-C655D/dp/B005J2X6VY
Would require you to open up the laptop and swap out the power jack, though.

The cable for the charging port runs on top of the right side hinge, which could mean that the hinge could have also damaged the charge port or the cable from being broken
