Looking to purchase a couple laptops. Will be running multiple VM's at once. Any suggestions as to what to go with? Or would a desktop purchase be more suitable? I know I have to take in consideration for RAM and if it is upgradable.

Ok, thank you, I will look into it. I've always leaned towards having a desktop for personal reasons, just would like to have something accessible on the go. I have an external hard drive and use that frequently as well. If you shop online for tech gadgets, what sites do you recommend?

Ok, just seeing where you shop at. I've gone to tigerdirect, jr, and I've vaguely browsed the newegg website and amazon is wonderful of course!

I would highly encourage you (and your wallet) to build your own PC when the time comes. Just look at any number of threads here that show what a lot of the benefits are. The one reason (or 2 sub-reasons) would be it would be cheaper overall, *or* you'd get better equipment for your money (compared to pre-manufacturered).
