Default Please help. Laptop won't work. Detailed info provided.

When i turn on my laptop, it loads like normal but when it loads the desktop, it shows only the wallpaper. After a couple of minutes, it logs off to the "welcome" part where you can choose to log onto another account. If you attempt to log in again, the same thing happens. You can't right mouse click or anything. And when you try to plug in a USB to see if anything happens, it says it won't work because DEP won't let it. This all happened after I opened several tabs on my browser. Or it could've been from a download from mediafire. My laptop is an Acer Aspire 3102WLMi. Also, I am running Windows XP. Please help!! Thanks you.

Can you get into safe mode?

It appears that you have got some malware that has effected some windows files.
If at all possible try to run our spyware guide.

It may be easier for you to do a repair install of win xp to repair the files and then work through the guide.

My opinion is the same as Hefe's, and spyware is definitely my first bet.
