You could do better. Semprons are slow as heck, 4-cell battery is near worthless (1-1.5 hrs tops) plus it's a refurb. You could still get something a lot nicer for under $500. Even if it costs a bit more make sure you do dual core. A single core processor really doesn't cut it with Vista.

for only $20 more you could get a new toshiba with a pentium dual core 1gb ram, 120gb hdd, and vista premium at bestbuy:

Nice find are Toshiba's any good? I've had people tell me that they have quite a bit of problems.

i have a toshiba satellite tablet and havent had any real problems aside from the mouse touch pad going bad. had it for about 2 years though.
