Hey

I have an Evesham laptop (UK). On the keyboard there are numbers in purple and the manual says you need to hold in the FN key to be able to type with the numbers.

It doesn't work and was wondering if anyone knows how to use them? I know there are numbers along the top of the keyboard but I would like to know how to use these too.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hello,

Do you ahve the proper drivers installed for your laptop for that function to work?

Cheers,
Mak

Thanks for your replies. I will have to look for those on the web somewhere as no standard keyboard drivers came with my notebook.

Thanks again.

Is it not FN + NumLk to be able to type with the numbers?

Either that or SHIFT + NumLK...I'm not quite sure which but it's definitely one of those!

Make sure the FN key is not stuck as well. I had one client whos "FN" key was not working, because it was bad key.

Sam.

Actually, you only ever use those number keys when typing in ALT codes for special symbols. Try holding the FN and ALT key then hit 0222 then release. It should type this: Þ
