Hey guys,

Wife needs a new laptop. No gaming. QuickBooks pro , Citrix , log into clients remotely, watch movies, etc. Wants 15 inch screen and a good cpu. HDMI out.

Max budget is $1000

I know nothing about laptops - I found this , but have no idea about if there us something better.

ASUS VivoBook K570UD 15.6” Laptop, Intel Core i7-8550U, GeForce GTX 1050 4GB, 16GB DDR4, FHD Display, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD, Fingerprint Sensor, Backlit keyboard, K570UD-ES76 Casual Gaming Laptop https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B2DTYFX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TWTBCbXG22F64

Well . Guess I looking fir a bit more info... Is a gen 8 i5 quad-core enough ( 7 gen vs 8 gen Intel)) or do I need the i7 6 core? SSD vs hdd, 8 GB Ram or 16, etc.

still shopping --- I like both the linked laptops but neither had a full Numpad - which for an accountant is pretty non optional. I think I have narrowed some of the options down= 15.6 display ( 1080P) , full keyboard with numpad, 8-16 GB RAM, 128 -256 GB SSD for the OS (win10) and a 500 HHD or a large SSD, 8th generation i5 8xxxU seems to be the ticket for my price range, HDMI, three 3.0 usb , good sized battery

You might want to look at 17" laptops as well for the simple fact that the wider body would more easily allow a numpad that isn't scrunched up.
