Sorry for the late reply. Thank you guys for all the help. I think I'm settled on Acer Aspire 5742g/5750g/5755g as long as I can get one with an i5 processor and a GT 540M/HD Radeon 5650. They don't seem to be bad. I just hope the local prices aren't more expensive than the prices I checked online.
On a side off-topic question, I bought a new 1 GB Ram stick for my laptop, how do I check it to make sure it's free of any errors?

Either get a RAM tester (Can't think of any atm) or try it in another laptop.

Why not just try it in my laptop? I already have it in this laptop.
Will memtest work? And will that stress the ram like that it might maybe damage it?

Memtest doesn't stress the RAM. It simply checks it for errors.
