HI,
So I just bought this cheep laptop. The Acer Chromebook 11:

I know it cant run the newest hottest games out there, but I wanted to play old games like Combat Arms:
Combat Arms Europe | Free-to-Play Online FPS

After downloading this game, my laptop told me it wasnt supported. I cant even install Steam. What do I have to do in order to run these programs? Do I need to download and install a different OS or what?

Thank you in advance.

That's because it's a Chromebook with ChromeOS installed on it.

You'd have to see if you could install Windows or a version of Linux on it.

Right now, you'll only be able to play browser-based games pretty much.

Chromebooks aren't meant to game on - they're meant to be cheap, productivity devices that don't need much power (i.e. web browsing, email, etc.).

Looks like it doesn't have a Linux compatible version according to the link you posted.

Here's the Wine page that shows how it runs on Linux under Wine...and it looks like not very well at all:

So I'd say no, you won't be able to play that game on that notebook - unless you could somehow get Windows to run on it (you'd have to purchase a Windows license even if it could be installed on the notebook).
