Need advice, dual core vs. quad core

Not many of them, though.

When something like Quad Cores come out, it takes a long time for the software companies to catch up to it, because those games take years to create...its not something that can be scrapped or adjusted mid development.

That and even if games claim or say they are going to use Quad Core..they won't be good at it. .DLL's are not friendly to work with in multi processing environments...

Quad cores had been out since the 775 socket days. That's around 2005-2007. Surely, they are making it for games now.

SMP has been in use in games since Quake 4 and CoD2 on the PC. There are most certainly games that are being released today that use that technology now. I doubt Steam or WoW does, but other games are sure to have it.
