My Disk Player isnt working!

Guys! I dont know whats going on I have a Compaq EVO N610c and the C:\ is not working! It wont read any disk or even turn.

is there anything i can do to make it work again or do I have to get another 1 or should i troubleshoot what should i do please help

So your saying you hard drive is not resonding? Alright. Have you tried booting from a XP CD and see if it is recognized? What about bootingo into your BIOS to see if it is there.

Okay how will I go about doing that? Do you have any instructions I can follow?

To get into your BIOS hit the key when the PC first starts up. It should say Hit __ key to enter setup. Hit that key. then check to see if you drive is listed as a device in there.

As for the XP CD you will know cause it will tell you if it cant find the drive to isntall XP to. Not that you have to install XP but it will let us know if the drive is being seen.
