Microphone Help

Ok so the only microphone that works on my laptop is the built in one. I have plugged in 3 different mics now and none of them even show up as plugged in on my laptop. The microphones don't show up anywhere on my computer. I just bought this laptop and the microphone was working last night so I have no clue what is wrong

Ok I found out that both my audio jack and my microphone jack do not work and as previously mentioned this is a brand new laptop. What can I do to fix it?

Do some reasearch on the model. If the audio ports are on a separate board, you can just swap out the boards on it for usually relatively cheap. Otherwise, if they're integrated onto the motherboard, you'd have to replace the whole mobo.

However, since you said this is a new laptop (I'm assuming < 1 year), you can warranty the laptop and get it fixed.
