Default Low end laptop

I'm looking into low end laptops. I was wondering what difference would I see between a

Mobile AMD Sempron™ 3600+ (2.0GHz/512KB)

and a

AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TK-55 (1.8GHz/512KB)

Well the x2 is dual core while the sempron is still single core, so you'll have better multitasking performance.

I'd think the dual core would be your better bet if they are around the same price

The TK is a mid-range Mobile AMD Dual-Core CPU, while all Sempys are low-end for both Laptops and Desktops

I have a low spec Dell laptop, use it for general things like Word processing, internet and email and it works great.
