Default looking for a good gaming laptop

I am looking for a laptop with the following specs
3 - 4 gb of ram
120 + gb hard drive
dedicated off board video car 256 or better.
either Intel or amd dual core
Vista Ultimate
I am considering Alienware but am not sure if they are worth the price. What other gaming laptops are out there?

Newegg.com - ASUS G Series G50V-X1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo P8400(2.26GHz) 15.4" Wide SXGA+ 4GB Memory 200GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT - Laptops / Notebooks

That is what I am considering, I personally would not buy alienware, because they are extremely overpriced, alls you are really paying for is the brand.

Lukas do you have a specific Gateway model?

Better question are their laptops better then their desktops? I havent heard much from Gateway in years.

Gateway Official Site: Shop - Notebooks - P-7811 FX Laptop Product Details is a great laptop for the price IMO. gfx card = good, processor is fast and 4gb of ram is amazing, and its fast for laptop ram.

I haven't read about Gateways recently either. Have their monitors/laptop screens improved over the years? I bought a Gateway desktop years ago and it was a great computer however I went though 2 monitors before they both went bad after a few months. Then my warranty ran out so I got a Sony monitor that I still have and works great.
