Default Looking for a gaming laptop

Hi fellow tech-forums community was interested in buying a laptop for gaming and work in which will replace my desktop, was looking to get the alienware MX11 but with further research on the forums found out alienware computers are overpriced. I'm looking for a laptop with similar specs but with a bigger screen 17inch would be great.

cyberpowerpc has good gaming laptops. I can find one to play Oblivion and bioshock 2 pretty decent for around 900 dollars. I might get one

Hi there,

You should check out the Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q880. It has a 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7-720QM processor and 6 GB of storage. It is an inexpensive laptop ($1899) but the specs are really great. Is this too far out of your budget?

There is a lower Toshiba for about $1200, that is a little lower in performance, but nothing bad. Right Isabella?

Won't happen.

My Acer 8930 was over 1100 from staples, 2 yrs ago. Newegg has them over 800 before tax, at the cheapest.

7-800 here gets a smaller screen, or crappier gpu card, but usually both.

Thank MoM really liking that laptop, but how would the video card compare to the laptop graphic card ranking list, cant seem to find it in the list. Also would Newegg.com - Acer Aspire AS7740G-6364 NoteBook Intel Core i5 430M(2.26GHz) 17.3" 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 perform better in games than the alienware MX11.

^Well for 1, you can't get that Acer in CANADA

2 it's well over your budget of 800 CDN

Edit

You do know the mx11 is an 11" laptop, correct? While everything you've asked is over 17" here.

The 2 gpus are about the same
