Default Looking at buying a laptop..

I'm looking at buying a laptop, i'm pretty intelligent in the field of normal computers, but the one thing i'm sketchy on is graphics cards in laptops, i don't know which is better than what, and what i sthe best vs whats not. So my question to you guys is.....

NVIDIA® SLI™ Dual GeForce® 8700M GT 512MB2 GDDR3

or

Single NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M, 1GB

I can provide more specs if you guys need them, but a short relevant answer would be best, thanks.

You'd be better off with the 260M, depending on the other specs of the laptops.

Can you provide the make+model of each laptop?

Laptop #1 with the Dual setup is a Dell XPS M1730, the 260M is from a Alienware M17x

There are many configurations available for the M17x; other than the single 260M, what other parts were you thinking of getting if you went for that laptop?

In that case I would go with the Alienware, depending on the price.

It's roughly $400 more than the xps, and it's better in all aspects, i was just curious about the graphics card. Thanks for the help.

Single NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M, 1GB as the GeForce 8 series is getting a little old in the tooth.

If you are really looking for high end, I would be leaning more for Asus.
