logging on problem

So I have this aged laptop(sony vaio from 2001) and it has encountered yet another problem. When I turn it on, the start taskbar, the icons..nothing shows except for the mouse and the wallpaper. I don't know what to do..haalp mee wise ones. thanks

It is not displaying your profile or not loading it. Not a loggin in issue.

Go to the virus area and follow Osiris's guide.

Can do all that stuff from Safe Mode assuming you can get into Safe Mode. If not try a repair install of XP. If you are running XP. But since it is form 2001 i would wager to guess yes.

fixed it. it was really simple actually, I just cntrl/alt/del and restarted the **** thing. why didn't I think of that before? because I'm dumb. thanks though
