Laptop won't start

Hi,

Brand: Dell Laptop Studio 1535 Model: PP33L start up issues. The laptop lights go on like it's going to start, then the PC shuts off.

1. Checked the ram
2. Checked the power cord and battery.
3. Discharged the electricity from the PC holding down the the power button and doing that procedure.

No Luck?

Try remove the battery and turn laptop with cord only and see what happens.

Did that. Starting to think it's a bad hard drive.

A bad HDD wouldn't cause the laptop to just shut off. You can test this by jut removing the HDD from the laptop and attempting to boot.

You should be able to get to BIOS either way.

Can't get to Bios! Safe mode etc. Light for hard drive does not light up at boot.

When you say you checked the RAM... what exactly do you mean by that?

Did you just check if it was all seated correctly, or did you remove all sticks, and just try 1 stick at a time, in one slot at a time?

I took all the sticks out. Put them in one at a time, in different slots, and tried to start up the PC.
