Laptop wont get past Splash screen at Boot - Acer 5542g

ok, not quite sure how this happened, i think because i was restoring it to factory .. it was loading up windows hp, i did not have it on charge assuming all would be well, then ****, my battery popped out... destroying all the progress made. now when booting and i let it past the acer splash it comes up with something like *cannot load boot manager* press crtl alt delete to restart, done than, went into setup and enabled the f12 function for recovery methods, loaded up windows that way, then it get halfway through and comes up with an error. Help! please i start a computer course in 2weeks

It's half formatted so of course it wont load. You need to put in a windows dvd as you can not access your recovery without being able to load windows.
