Default Laptop Tweaks

Just got a Dell Inspiron 1501 for college.
Has a Turion X2 1.6 ghz and 2 gigs of ram running Vista Premium.

Any performance tweaks or batter conservation tweaks would be appreciated.

E6300 Core 2 Duo
2 Gbs OCZ PLatinum 800Mhz
250 Gb Western Digital
OCZ Modsteam 450W
7900GT Gainward
Flux Capacitor....SWEEEET

Ya, I had the same thought to put XP on my Compaq F557us... Anyone that says that it can be done is full of @#$%! Making it hard as **** to put XP on any lappy these days... Drivers aren't there for them....

I would Love to have a Signature but I can't get the the ink to stick on the screen! Duh!
