Linksys compact 4 port hub (computer powered)


The computer will not recognize the printer plugged direct to USB port. Plug it into the Linksyss hub it works fine. The printer also works normal direct to another Laptop Vista or XP. Have uninstalled USB hubs, no change.
Anyone have any ideas??

Did you originally install the print drivers for this printer while it was plugged into the 4 port hub?

Hefemeister, Since the printer was not recognized, plugged direct the driver would not load normal. However, the driver was downloaded via Canon website, the printer still would not work.

Hefemeister To further clarify, No, the Drivers were downloaded from Canon prior to plugging in the expander. With the printer plugged into the expander, the printer was recognized and loaded proper drivers from windows, which I think is normal,
