laptop needed

hello everyone
cancelled my cable and was looking to stream some tv shows ( other than netflix ) on my tv can you recommend a laptop that would work well for that ??
not very tech savy so any help would be appreciated

You planning on just hooking up a HDMI cable from the laptop to your tv? if so any laptop with a HDMI output will suffice.
