Any 2.5" HDD can will work with it. 2.5" SSDs are a different matter.

What size are you looking for? I'd trust Western Digital or Seagate.

2.5 is what laptops use. Just make sure it's sata since that is what your laptop uses and your golden. As MM said, i generally stick with Seagate or Western Digital.

Just curious, why are 2.5 inch SSD drives different? I figured they would follow the same standards as regular 2.5'' drives, have the SATA connectors in the same place and screw holes in the same location....

Lex, call me MoM.

C0rr0sive, SSDs are 2.5, but a different arrangement to not confuse it with HDDs, I think.

Hmm, I am gonna have to research this now, as I was planning on one day buying a 2.5 SSD for my lappy when it's drive finally goes out.

After doing some research, most still follow the standard layout when it comes to where the connectors are as a regular SATA HDD for a laptop would.
