If you don't want a netbook something like this might be worth considering.

The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

A 14" is still relatively portable, the larger batteries should last a while, and a Core 2 Duo + Geforce 9400M would give you pretty good performance.

Well, I already bout the hp. As the G51 was out of the question and that other one from bestbuy is not available online and not instock in any of the ones near me, I'm happy with my decision.
