So I am currently looking to buy myself a laptop. I will be mainly using it for school and side gaming. And by gaming I mean WoW and dota mainly nothing to high end maybe some cs:s and L4D2 once in a while. I'm looking for something around the $800 mark. I have these two models in mind currently.

ASUS A52JR-X1
Newegg.com - ASUS A52JR-X1 NoteBook Intel Core i5 430M(2.26GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 - Laptops / Notebooks

and the

ASUS K52JR-X5

Some other notes is that it must have 4gb ram obviously, dedicated graphics card that is good enough for games stated above, 320 minimum hard drive size, speed would be nice to have a 7200 but if it drives the price up a bit too much I can deal with a 5400, and then something between a 15-16" screen.

Any other suggestion would be wonderful. Thank you.

4GB is the standard thes days.

The difference between 5400 and 7200 is not higher. Faster, yes, but it just uses more battery life.

Personally, I would get the i5 one from Newegg. It's a little beefier than the i3, all rest of the stats are same.

Ahh yeah I was leaning towards that one myself. Are there any other ones I should be looking at though? I cant find any that have better specs for a decent price.

ASUS is good ;)

I have a few ASUS motherboards, an ASUS DVD-RW, an ASUS 8800GTS G80, an ASUS Netbook Eee 1800HA.

I'm a ASUS FREAK!
