Laptop beep problem

I took my laptop on the train with me, I kept it in my suitcase.
I get to my destination and when I turn it on, it boots fine and starts working but about 5 mins in it starts beeping for a while then shuts itself down.

Any help?

Before I took it I did not have my battery in, I leave it out usually because I rarely move it. I put it in for the trip. I doubt it makes a difference but there it is.

you might receive better help if you gave more information.
how many beeps do you hear and what is the name brand and complete model number of your laptop?

hmmm... a custom made laptop.
That beep is a fault code, it usually can mean faulty memory or graphics. but without the board manufacture and model number it's not too likely we can find out what that fault code means.
Try one stick of memory at a time in each slot and rum Memtest to determine if it could be a bad memory module. You can use the free edition
MemTest86 - Download now!

If the graphics processor is soldered on the board, then there's no way you can fix that yourself. You could try connecting an external monitor and see if it'll post. Check your keyboard for any stuck keys too, if you had it packed, one of the keys might be jammed down

Neither the GPU or CPU in that laptop will be soldered down / integrated.

@OP: The laptop should still have a brand/model unless you yourself built it from scratch in your own house (if that was the case, then you should know the motherboard model #). So what company did you buy it from, and what did they list the model # as for the laptop?

I stated if because I wasn't sure and too lazy to find out, made no mention of the cpu. Thanks for the heads up.
Posted every detail about that laptop right down to the thermal paste but still left out the mother board

Is my motherboard. I am no hardware expert but I have never heard of this motherboard manufacturer before.

It was bought on pc specialist.

Anyway an update. I turned on my computer (to find out my motherboard) and no beeps was fine. This time I only had my power cable plugged in when I usually have a fan plugged in and other stuff (mouse etc). All good for 10 mins or more. I then put my laptop on the ground to type in the motherboard info here and it started beeping. A really slow beep. I pick up the laptop and move it around and it starts beeping faster and its back to how it was before.

it is so frustrating, it works fine and I can do everything on it, just beeps and turns off.

Try re-seating the memory and hard drive. Something might have gotten lose while you were transporting it. Remember to disconnect the power and remove the battery before you open it up

Ok done (somehow ended up with a screw that wouldn't fit the last hole). Cleaned out my fan and heat sink while I was at it. Currently testing it now, fingers crossed.
