me am Gah, King ov back part ov Cave where all other cave-peepz go do-doo and thro animal bonez.

I am having a serious problem with my new (2 months) lap top.
It is simply slower than marked man running from the mob with cement boots!
I am a 6/10 on computer ability, but am unable to locate/solve the problem.
The only question is response/speed.
The laptop (Toshiba Satelitte) starts up fast and fine. But, but to start a program takes a long long time (iTunes up to 1.5 minutes).
On-line, I am dead. It took 3:19 minutes to load this site from Google search.
This problem started 3 days ago:
no new hardware, I do not go to suspicious sites, I have worked all the base and secondary programs to clean/defrag/add/remove...
Norton, Defender, AGV and all others report nothing.
Am I missing something?
IF anyone can help, I'd apperciate it!
