Can't find the specs for the laptop, but I looked on the website and under downloads/drivers for WinXP and saw that there's an update for Wireless Adapter. So I'm wondering since there's an update for it, that could mean the Laptop already comes with a wireless card.

Sony eSupport - PCG-XG28 - Software Updates & Drivers

Wait for other suggestions though lol.

No, its just an update for the wireless manager

This utility updates the VGF-WA1 Wireless Adapter Manager software to version 1.2.00.07162 and resolves an issue where the Wireless Adapter Manager cannot install on a computer using Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system with SP3 (Service Pack 3).
NOTE: The Wireless Adapter Manager software is only for use with the VGF-WA1 Wireless Digital Music Streamer.

Lol thank you for the rep . Still wait on other suggestions if needed though, don't want to recommend something and make you buy incompatible stuff lol.

If this is your system:

Specifications - User Guide - Sony PCG-XG29K, Sony PCG-XG28, Sony PCG-XG29...

You are very slim on choices. If it has any USB ports, it won't be 2.0.

A PCMIA card is hard to find these days, as they are no longer used. Your best bet would be Ebay, but that's not a guarantee.
