So I ordered a older model for it's abilities, it has what I need and nothing more then I need.. except 1 little thing.
HP Pavilion TX2500Z 12.1" Lightweight tablet Notebook PC
is it's listing. $300 for a HP Pavillion Tx2500z Touchscreen Tablet. (in case anyone else wants one/needs parts/whatever)
Listed as 2.4ghz dual core, 4GB ram, 320gb harddrive, so not too shabby there. The video is "lacking' for 'games' however I don't really plan to play games on mine.
The little bit is a motherboard thingy, the one listed says "no fingerprint reader" which got me wondering, does it mean "one not included" or does it mean the motherboard does not support it?
Ebay has the Tx2510us fingerprint reader for super cheap (like $6 no s/h)
and a new frame that has the cutout for the reader is around $30 (but only 1 auction up right now I found, so probably cheaper) to house it.
So my question is... does the Tx2500 motherboard have the spot to plug in a fingerprint reader? or do the motherboards differ? I think they are they same, but I wanted to be sure.
Also I was thinking of helping it stay cool (because it has a massive problem with GPU) with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834981011 and possibly modifying it to replace the 1 fan with some smaller fans more directed at the GPU vent intake slot - or just a bigger, 110CFM fan (which would be better? A smaller fan directly centered over the small GPU vent, or a big fan over the whole thing with a higher CFM?)
Unless someone can link a better coolin pad for it, keeping in mind the "top right" of the pad is where the GPU will sit (with pad in operational position)
