Default Hows this for a gaming laptop replacement at $1200?

Ok I'm trying to replace my current laptop that I play some real time war games and a MMO game called dark age of camelot. This is my current.

Products & Services - Notebooks
Acer 4400 Travelmate

This is the one I'm thinking of buying:

Vostro 1700 Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7250 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
Operating System Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic
LCD Panel 17.0 inch Wide Screen XGA+ LCD Display with TrueLife™
Memory 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 2 DIMM
Video Card 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8600M GT
Hard Drive 250GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
Integrated NIC and Modem Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
Adobe Software Adobe® Acrobat® Reader
Optical Drive 8X CD/DVD Burner w/ double-layer DVD+R write capability
Sound Card Integrated High Definition Audio
Wireless Cards Dell Wireless 1490 802.11a/g Wi-Fi Mini Card
$1216 Free shipping

Is this the best gaming laptop that I can get for $1200 and/or is a good deal?

My bullshnazz alarm went off as I read that. Whoever told you that is a doochebag and deserves to be stabbed repeatedly in the eyes with a butter knife.

darn, you beat me to it vernong, ive had that deal on my mind for a while...
that is suppose to be the "BEST DEAL EVER" apparantly for that laptop.

My sis might be buying that soo, but i think ill get her the 8400 instead, since my BIL plays games like fifa, so it should be fine.

o thats good then.
Well to make things clear, you dont need vista to optimize a dual or quad core, but you do need vista to use DX10...just in case you didnt know.
