Default How would you upgrade this laptop for under 1400?

here is the laptop im interested in. How would you upgrade it to fit my 1400 budget. (no software or addons) just performance,

The cost of the laptop is too high for what you can already get. That setup is missing a lot... I just purchased my laptop a few days ago. Here's the two I was stuck between. The cost for the ASUS is $1200 and the MSI is $1250 after rebate. If you're willing to spend $150, I recommend you do what I did. I bought the MSI and a 120GB SSD to go with. The last link is the SSD I bought. ($150 after rebate)

If you have a Dell account, you can always look into the Dell outlet (refurbished) machines... "Usually" they are much cheaper. I picked up the M17X R2, 2010 model for little over a grand off the original price.
