How do I DISABLE Battery Safety Mode on a HP Laptop?

My HP Pavilion x360 was part of the recent HP Battery Recall Program. A technician came to my house and replaced the battery, but before that happened I had to put the laptop into 'Battery Safety Mode', disabling the old, explosion-susceptible battery. Now the battery has been replaced, but the laptop still does not work when not plugged in, so I assume it must still be in 'Battery Safety Mode'. How do I disable this setting so I can use my laptop when it is not plugged in?

Exiting Battery Safety Mode
All Platforms EXCEPT HP Notebook 11 will follow the following steps
After the replacement battery has been installed, the system will verify that the new battery is not part
of the recall, allowing the system to return to normal battery mode.
If the new battery is also affected by the recall, the notebook PC will again inform the user about the
battery recall and ask the user to accept to enter Battery Safety Mode.

I tried using the validation utility again - it didn't detect my battery.

I think it would be wise to ask the HP Pavilion x360 team what or how to do. If this (they) does not help, then you might try to restore the BIOS settings - that is, remove the battery and then the CMOS battery for about a minute.
But if you have a warranty on your computer, then I do not recommend to open the computer Yourself.
