Default How to Boot from USB drive on Asus F3JP laptop?

Hi,
I have looked in the bios (AMBIOS v02.59) , under the "boot order" menu it lists "removable device", however any plugged in usb stick or drive appears under "hard drives" on the menu. only allowing me to boot from a usb drive if I change the settings in the BIOS before I boot. I would prefer to just prefer to set the usb device further up the boot order than the hard disk so that if it wasn't plugged the machine would just boot from the hard disk.

Perhaps the "removable device" is a legacy from the days when all computers were fitted with floppy disks?

Any help welcome!!

Regards,
