Help! Recover Files!

My Asus 1005HA EeePc has no display! Asus said they'd take a look at it, but that they aren't responsible for lost data. My senior research project is on there. What specific tools do I need and what specific steps can I take to copy my hard drive and save this information? I need my research data for Monday!

if you had another machine you could try to take the HDD from your Asus and make it a slave drive in the other machine.

Easiest solution, if the PC starts up you may just have a bad monitor. Connect an external monitor to the laptop.
